Mary's Place
About This Spot
Stepping into Mary’s Place in Belleview feels like being welcomed into a cherished neighborhood nook where the pace slows just enough to savor mornings fully. Housed in a modest, unassuming setting—part of a small local motel—this breakfast spot hums quietly with the steady rhythm of locals gathering for a hearty start.
The ambiance is straightforward and down-to-earth, with an easygoing warmth that invites lingering over coffee and well-made comfort food. There’s a genuine sense of familiarity here—servers moving attentively but without rush, routinely topping off cups and checking in with an ease that feels like visiting an old friend’s kitchen. It’s a place where the simplicity of good, honest cooking takes center stage, rather than flashy presentation or bustling crowds.
Mary’s Place shines in its thoughtful spins on classic American breakfast and lunch staples. From the rich, savory edges of country-fried steak paired with creamy grits to pecan-crusted French toast that hints at something a little more indulgent, the menu captures those comforting, homemade flavors that draw people back again and again. The generous portions and the careful attention to preparation make it an effortlessly satisfying experience — whether you’re craving a breakfast monster burger or a plate piled high with eggs and hash browns.
While the interior might not boast trendy decor, it’s the collective hum of friendly chatter, the scent of freshly brewed coffee, and the occasional clatter of plates that create the genuine atmosphere here. It’s a snapshot of local life in Belleview, where each visit feels like a quiet celebration of familiar tastes and heartfelt service.
Mary’s Place isn’t about illusions or big-city polish—it’s a reminder that sometimes the simplest places hold the richest stories and the warmest comforts, especially when starting the day.

8/10/22 11:00am We got seating right away, Karen greeted us and was very friendly and informative. Sam was our waitress and the service was OUTSTANDING!!! Onion rings are best you will find in central Florida, the reubens were very good and burger also excellent, we all enjoyed all our food and had a great visit! Would give it 6 stars if i could! DON'T LET THE APPEARANCE FOOL YOU! Its not fancy but where it counts they can't be beat!

Good food, reasonably priced, friendly staff. Not the bustling diner I remember. Diner's atmosphere is old . I had sausage and eggs DW had ham scramble.

Best breakfast we have had in a very long time: large quantities, homemade grits, great coffee good service even though very busy. Most definitely will return! Soon!

The biscuits and gravy came out in 2 minutes. The full order is HUGE, and taste wise, they are top 3 I've ever eaten. I consider myself a biscuits and gravy connoisseur.

Mary's Place is just you're good down home cooking! Located in the heart of Belleview in a quaint little Motel with a No-Frills Ambiance in this restaurant the food says it all. We had breakfast consisting of pecan Belgian waffles, country grits, amazing Homestyle biscuits and gravy along with eggs sausage and hash browns. Servers were very attentive always right there filling your coffee and making sure you are enjoying your meal. The menu also consisted of many home cooked country food options and specials you don't find anywhere else. It was our first time there but they were very busy and you could tell they had a lot of loyal local customers. Open for breakfast and lunch up to 2 p.m. it may have been our first time there but it will definitely not be our last. You should definitely try you won't be disappointed! Update Memorial Day Weekend 2018 we have now been going to Mary's Place almost every weekend since my first review. We always sit in Courtney section and she is nothing less than fantastic! We have tried many different items on the menu and have never been disappointed! This to me is amazing because I can be real critical when it comes to food. Unfortunately they are only open 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. otherwise we would probably grab dinner there a couple nights a week. Their prices, quality and quantity of food, and all around welcoming attitude and service is refreshing. Thought I would give this a little update it is now October 11th and unfortunately my health has taken a disastrous turn for the worst but I was scrolling through my pictures and wanted to post some of the ones I forgot to. We still get take out but miss being there in person but hopefully we will be there soon seeing everybody's smiling faces!
